My Guiding Principles …
Helping Me Get Value Into The Hands Of Customers. Check Them Out!
Be Glass Half Full 🥛
It’s easy to become pessimistic, it’s hard to be positive when times are tough. It’s always good to look at the art of the possible and what learnings you can take away from it. When times are tough, it’s good to pause and look at what options we have.
Lead Learn By Example 👀
It’s good to lead by example, but i prefer to learn by example. Do i know everything? NO. I embrace all the people and skills surrounding me - so i think it’s important to work with others and learn new skills. Unfortunatly, i will never have all the answers.
Health Trumps Everything 😷
No one is that important. If you’re off sick, someone else in your team should be able to pick things up on your behalf. If you’re not at your best, you won’t bring your best. So your physical and mental health should always take priority.
Make People Smile 😀
It’s important to turn up to work, feeling motivated, doing your job well and having fun with your team. Small things like recognition, random activities, fun presentations can put a smile on peoples faces. Think outside the box and ALWAYS read the room.
Drive The Journey 🚙
Rome was not built in a day. Everyone has different experience and expertise in building digital products & services. People need to be brought on a journey and be coached … i like to take people on a journey and help drive the journey on an enterprise level to educate, coach and challenge teams and stakeholders.
Clear The Path 🧹
Delivery people are not the ones who are delivering. It’s the people around them that are the ones that are delivering. It’s my role to ensure the path is clear, the teams are able to overcome obstacles and we clear the path upstream to allow teams to get on and deliver value.
People over process 👩🏻🤝👨🏾
You can use any framework out there, but if you don’t have smart and motivated people to build your product or service, it won’t happen. You have to let people use their strengths and listen to them - the likelihood is that you hired them for a reason.
